Rothenburg was Germany’s second-largest city in the Middle Ages, with a population of 6,000 people, while Berlin and Munich were only passing through.
The 13th-century Town Hall (Rathaus), the 14th-century Council Tavern, with its historic clock and mechanical figures, and numerous excellent old churches are among these remarkable objects of interest. The tiny stone-paved lanes are lined with half-timbered buildings with their characteristic steeply pitched roofs, some holding museums that examine Rothenburg’s long and rich history.
Is situated in Bavaria, Germany. It is located at the 67th intersection of the Romantic Road and the Castle Road. This location is well-known for its medieval core (Altstadt), which has been unscathed by the passage of time and is surrounded by pristine 14th-century architecture.
